The Players' second production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream had a Bohemian theme, and featured a May pole and a May dance.

Three different musical groups played. The Gypsy Musicians (see above) played Bohemian folk songs, the Fairy Musicians played "fairy music" on flute (Virginia Reid) and autoharp (Rhea Natoli).

The Rustic Musicians (Carol Anderson, Kim Brenden, Christy Jensen, Mark Jensen, Kim Kahn, Martha Moen, Evelyn Nickerson and Diana Pozzi) played on kazoos and makeshift percussion instruments, and doubled as stage hands when sets or props needed to be moved.

Maureen O'Reilly, the director, had several informal meetings with interested Players to introduce them to Shakespeare in general and this play in particular. The added understanding made it easier for the actors to give better performances. Total attendance for the six days was over 3,400.
