Sherwood Station
Bringing Modern Comfort Down the Trail
For over a century, the Kitsap Forest Theater has been one of the Pacific Northwest’s most beloved hidden treasures — and audiences have embraced it on its own rustic terms.
The Mountaineers Players have been delighting audiences since 1923. As we step into our second century of magical outdoor theater, it is time to bring modern comfort to one of the Pacific Northwest's most enchanting natural sanctuaries — a forest of rhododendrons, ferns, and old-growth trees that have always been our most magnificent stage design.
Sherwood Station, a nod to Robin of Sherwood, our first show in 1923 – will house modern restrooms, concessions, production storage, and an outdoor climbing wall connecting us to our roots in The Mountaineers.
With groundbreaking anticipated in Spring 2027, we are launching a first-in-a-generation campaign to bring Sherwood Station to life and build momentum for future improvements across the Kitsap Forest Theater campus.
