2014 Spring - Honk!
Honk!, a tuneful, witty retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling, is an enchanting comic musical for the entire family. After he is lured away from his home by a wily Cat, an odd-looking baby duck named Ugly goes on a quest to find his mother. With the help of new friends that he meets along the way (including a comical troupe of geese and an ebullient bullfrog) his journey home becomes an adventure – and an exuberant celebration of being different.
Winner of multiple awards, including the 2000 Olivier Award for Best Musical, Honk! is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit and memorable score. Written by Anthony Drewe and George Stiles (who recently contributed additional songs to the Broadway production of Mary Poppins), Honk! is ideal for our forest theater – a comedic treat perfect for the whole family. Come early and enjoy a picnic lunch under the firs – and stay after for a hike to “Big Tree.”
