Seattle area adventure day camp at Kitsap Forest Theater ★ Summer fun ★ Unplug your kids

Seattle and Kitsap campers will delight in this outdoor summer program featuring art, music, drama, play, hiking, exploring the forest, wildlife and creeks – and just plain fun. Our nature camps let young children play, explore and create at the beautiful Kitsap Forest Theater. If you are looking for outdoor summer activities for kids in the Puget Sound area, you have come to the right place!

Kitsap Forest Adventure Camps, where children's creativity and imagination bloom, are presented by The Mountaineers Players. 2018 dates are:

Camp 1: July 9 - 13 (Nature Detectives)

Camp 2: July 16 - 20 (Wilderness Adventure)

Age: K - 4th grade (entering)

Camp Location

Kitsap Forest Theater is located in Bremerton, 15 minutes from the Bremerton ferry dock, and is accessible to campers all around the Puget Sound area. Ferry transportation is available from Seattle.

Camp 1 (July 9 - 13) Nature Detectives

Week 1: Join us as we explore the natural world through hands-on experimentation, animal visitors, plant life, creek walks, environmental art and games. Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure for a week of scientific discovery in our amazing forest “laboratory”.

Camp 2 (July 16 - 20) Wilderness Adventure

Week 2: Join us as we explore the natural world through learning about primitive survival, awareness of surroundings in the wilderness, bushcraft and Pacific Northwest native cultures. Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure for a week of nature discovery in our amazing forest “laboratory”.

Kitsap Forest Theater (Bremerton): 9:30 am to 3:00 pm

Seattle (includes ferry): 8:00 am to 4:00 pm*

*Seattle Ferry: 8:30 am; Bremerton Ferry: 3:00 pm

Camp Cost per Week

Early bird discount ($25) if registered before April 1st

Please note that when you register your child for camp you can choose to become a Mountaineers' member (see note below) and obtain the Mountaineers Member Tuition. If you are not a Mountaineers' member, you must sign-up for a guest membership to complete the waivers for your campers, but you will owe the non-Mountaineers member tuition.  

Mountaineers Member Tuition: $275.00 ($250 before April 1st)

Non-Mountaineers Member Tuition: $325.00 ($300 before April 1st)

Seattle Transportation Package

For Seattle area campers, a ferry ride will add to the adventure. Choose the transportation package and drop your camper off at the Seattle/Bremerton Ferry dock and we will escort your camper on the ferry and to the camp. Or share carpool duties with friends and spend the day exploring Kitsap County. For city folks, our nature camps are the perfect summer acitivity for your children. Online registration is above. Cost is $150.00

Optional Family Friday Overnight or Dinner-only Option

Sign-up to enjoy a relaxing and fun mini-vacation for the whole family at the Kitsap Forest Theater. These Family Friday overnights or dinner only option are open to all families of campers and have been a highlight of the week for both campers and parents. Take a hike to "Big Tree", sing around the campfire, and enjoy sumptuous meals. Get to know parents of other campers that your kids have met.
